One day as I was meandering by a small lake near my office I noticed what appeared to be a crazy looking bud. On closer inspection of the bud, and other plants nearby I realized it wasn’t a bud, but a Queen Anne’s lace flower gone to seed. With the colors around it and the lake as a backdrop, I had to pull my ever-present camera out and take a shot. The image I made came out, at least to my mind, amazing.
Subsequently, I’ve seen many of these. I had just never taken the time to stop and really look at them. The detail and colors still grab my attention to this day. See, even something “gone to seed” can still be wonderful.
