You never know what you’ll discover… so go!!!

Sometimes… well, often, my friends and I just take off to somewhere and see where that leads.   Some of us know special places and on this trip Ruth knew where we should at least stop and see what we could shoot…

Short Creek…

The water from the creek flows out of a cave… a dozen dozen feet or so, with a dogleg between, then chortles back into another cave… HENCE…

Short Creek Cave
Short Creek in Kentucky… a stream that flows from one cave to another

Short Creek.

So Terry, Ruth and I spent the better part of the day shooting this really really cool site.   It, for the most part, is not injured by graffiti, trash etc.. so makes for a wonderful time!  You can go into the cave the water flows back into from a different side than the water flows, so a nice image of the water coming in can be made.

I am glad the owners of this very cool site allow folks to go shoot it, and even, from what I heard when there, allow things like weddings, picnics, etc.

That is as it should be!
I think that there are places like this in everyone’s back yards… if you but take the time and effort to discover them.

We discovered somewhere really cool!!!

Let me know what you discover!  Go!
